About this deal

With this marvellous picture book and its bright and expressive illustrations, children can easily identify the different emotions felt throughout the day. Straight from a haunted forest comes this spooky little monster tree trunk that has two big eyes and a mouth. One of our visitors, Ana, was inspired by our monster colouring pages to embroider some gorgeous patches for the knees of her child's jeans!

The work you are putting into your business is such a great investment in the lives of so many others. My Good to Read this week is a fantastic example of a book that does just that - in a gentle and entertaining way.

His purpose in life is to save you as much time as possible when planning your lessons, writing reports, drafting letters, plans, policies and more!

How about colouring in a selection of the pictures, cutting out and them laminating them to use a frieze around the bedroom or class? This monster looks goofy but he's the brightest of our monster collection, and when he isn't making friends he is learning new facts and doing sums! Have your students make a warm color monster, contrasting color monster, or maybe a secondary color monster. This monster has two big eyes that aren’t the same size, two long hands that almost reach the ground, and two short legs. As a child’s emotional intelligence grows, they are increasingly able to use their emotional information to guide their own thinking and behaviour; in other words, to calm themselves down. This monster looks pretty intimidating, so black or dark brown would be a good choice for coloring the trunk.

Monster colouring page 3 sports some kooky striped horns - I imagine them purple and orange, but who knows which colours your children will choose! To further explore feelings and emotions with young children, take a look here at our selection of other resources to use, including PowerPoints, display photos, worksheets and games. He has two horns, one big eye, and two fans, but let these things scare you because this adorable monster looks like he only wants to make new friends. If you’re looking for a fun monster coloring sheet for Halloween, here’s a fun one: this playful round monster that looks like a pumpkin! The monsters could easily become the inspiration for a creative writing project or be turned into an art project using a variety of media.

We don’t all think the same - and might disagree with the colour associations presented in the story! Often with quite thick bits of card (they look like pieces of old cardboard boxes) which cast pleasing, soft shadows onto the backgrounds. Don’t worry, there’s nothing terrifying here because these monster coloring pages are so cute that your little one won’t resist smiling at them. With 10 different lovely illustrations, these fun and unique monsters are a great way to get your children creative! It will also help children build understanding and empathy towards others, as in the story the emotions areattached to deep descriptions of how the little furry Monster feels inside.
