About this deal

One story of the latter kind concerns the ill-fated ship the Martha Dunn and her devoted captain, William Benedict. my mum recommended this book as she is into this sort of thing and i really enjoyed not only the spirits of my city but learning some things that you may not know even if you're from Liverpool. A series of premonitions made by dozens of people that seem to predict a major disaster in Liverpool city centre with a great loss of life. Several of the stories were later published in collection books and have lost none of their amazing details. However, as the series has progressed I’ve increasingly found the stories to become far fetched and less believable.

its like an audio version of the small paperback guides and folk tales on a local area, you pickup when you visit a place. The creepy account of the psychopathic ghost who haunted a woman's car - and attempted to assault her. Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. Hear also about the many intriguing time-slips in the city, including the disturbing case of a modern female club-goer who was abducted by two rapists from the 18th century. He says that he learned from his mother that she had witnessed a ghostly apparition of a Victorian maid carrying a large serving plate along with the eerie sound of children laughing, and he was immediately hooked.

From the ghostly harpist in an Everton attic whose haunting tunes could predict the future, to the flying nun who foiled a burglary in Mount Vernon Street by terrifying the would-be villains, Tom's stories are endlessly entertaining with their best-selling mix of mystery, history, the strange and the supernatural. These books are not just about ghosts and hauntings there also about very strange and creepy stuff to from odd creatures, alien sightings, and lots more every story is different it really stirs the imagination, Great read. Personalised advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of information under California and other state privacy laws, and you may have a right to opt out. I just wish one of these books was narrated by a local man or woman just to be able to appreciate these tales to there full potential.

Best story has to be the one illustrated on the cover - two kids in Norris Green wander downstairs in the middle of the night for a drink, only to find the unplugged tv showing a black and white horror film involving two clowns. Every culture has believed in ghosts at one time or another: Buddha trained himself to overcome fear by sitting in a haunted cemetery. Go grab a cuppa tea and have a read of one of Tom's stories like A High-Class Vampiress, The Coffin, The Clown, or Bloody Mary.Images Donate icon An illustration of a heart shape Donate Ellipses icon An illustration of text ellipses. Describes a book or dust jacket that does show some signs of wear on either the binding, dust jacket or pages. The stories are so good they don't need to be bulked up, and this book reminds me of haunted Liverpool books 1-10, more to the point and great accounts. The pages of this book are crammed with crazy characters - some sad, some mad, and some downright bad - but all with a supernatural connection. I know of one person who knew precisely what had occurred and where(he was living there at the time in Kirkby), but the facts in the haunted liverpool book were faulty. Following his now well-established tradition, in Haunted Liverpool 8, local paranormal investigator and broadcaster, Tom Slemen, has yet again produced a wealth of supernatural stories with a Liverpool connection.I don't usually read this type of genre, but they would be perfect to read at this time of the year! This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use. My sister has a copy of this book and she loved the long chapter detailing many Liverpool superstitions and omens governing marriage, birth and death. I’ve enjoyed Tom Slemen’s Haunted Liverpool books which feature all manner of paranormal tales from an early age.
