About this deal

The Organic/Based Fish, Blood and Bone Feed is an all purpose plant food that provides a fast-acting and long lasting organic source of nutrients for all garden plants and has long been a popular garden fertiliser for use all around the garden and allotment, available in 10kg buckets only. As this fish, blood and bone fertiliser is completely organic, it will not burn any plants as the nutrients are released slowly. Blood, Fish and Bone fertiliser is a plant food provides a rapid boost to flowers, fruit and vegetables. Fish, blood and bone fertiliser is perfect as it fully dissolves in about 3-4 weeks and provides gradually released nutrients to the plants without burning them. It isn’t the strongest fertiliser, and I’ve found that some plants may require a top-up with other products to get them to perform at their best.

Unfortunately, I’ve never seen a product that comes with a scoop, but 35 grams is about the size of a washing powder scoop or a small handful. Say goodbye to unnecessary waste; there’s no need to discard the tubs—simply reuse and recycle them.

REDUCE POLLUTION AND PLANT DISEASE – When we apply fish meal to a contaminated soil, bacteria that degrade harmful products like petrol, diesel or oil feed on it and thrive. In spring and summer sprinkle granules evenly on to the soil around plants at a rate of 70 g/m2(2oz/yd2), avoiding contact with the plant itself 3. Why not check out our blog on Fish, Blood and Bone Fertiliser to find out what it is and how you should use it. Full details of how to get the most from this organic fish, blood and bone feed - including application rates - is displayed on the packaging.

Some animals may be attracted to the scent of this product, so it is recommended to mix well into the soil and water well. Soil bacteria use some of the fertilizers, in particular fish meal, for their own growth and well being which encourages early season microbial life. This meal enhances and nourishes soil and encourages the natural mychorrhyza fungi that plays a vital role in the early development of plants and crops. Applied directly to soil before or after planting, it provides a rich source of all three major nutrients - nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium – to encourage strong root growth and promote heavier cropping.

It also reduces root rot, a plant attacked by root rot is unable to take up nutrients and will die off. MAKES ROOTS GROW STRONGER – Stronger and deeper root systems result in better plant growth, better crops and healthier and improved soils. If the weather has been unusually wet, the product will dissolve quickly and can be topped up sooner, but the recommended maximum dose is once a month. Fish, blood and bone can be applied before or after planting and promotes lush flowers, foliage and high yields of fruit and vegetables.

The nitrogen encourages strong growth and green, rich foliage whilst the slow release phosphate increases root growth. Feeds the soil first and then starts on the plants, could notice the soil texture improving before the plants started to jump up.
