About this deal

I have blogged and shared on social media how much progress my toddlers have made, thanks to their iPad Minis. We the LeapPad we received a Disney Frozen reading game (sold separately), which went down very well as my niece is a massive Frozen fan (like most 4 year olds). It’s actually been great for helping my 6 year old with her reading, as there are lots of different messages you can send.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Another WiFi feature is Pet Chat – This allows LeapPad3 users to send messages to each other (like texting) via wifi.My youngest child is 7 and I did not realize that they had products that would suit him when I was asked to review the LeapPad 3. It’s also had to put up with a lot of sticky fingers poking at its screen, but it’s still lived to tell the tale. All they will see is a cool gadget and fun games featuring some of their favourite characters, plus lots of new ones. LeapPad3 is a fast, high-performance, fun-packed Wi-Fi tablet that allows kids to learn and play in a way that’s just right for them.

This is very cool and allows children to chat via the app, if they both have a LeapPad with wifi connection and are in the same room. Parents can even monitor the learning progress of their child to find out how he or she is developing during play. So he set up the parent account and the parental lock code on the device and refuses to give me the lock code.Home Retail Group Card Services Limited is registered in England (04007072) at 33 Holborn, London, United Kingdom, EC1N 2HT. Tap the "My Stuff" icon on the LeapPad Home screen (this is the icon between the camera and the star in the toolbar). I even found it a bit glitchy using the stylus as occasionally game features wouldn’t follow through without a few taps.

I’d give the LeapPad3 a rating of 4/5 – losing 1 mark because you can’t remove certain items from the device’s menu which is frustrating for little people. We’ve been trying out the LeapFrog LeapPad 3 for kids and it’s an amazing introduction to tablets for children. The LeapPad is designed to be handled, shall we say robustly, by not-so delicate little hands, with its bright green bumper and shatter-proof screen. This game helps learning letters by tracing letters, pronouncing letters, spelling words, word recognition and reading. It comes with several apps pre-loaded but this includes basic features such as a calendar, clock, notepad and calculator.Compact and kid-tough, the LeapPad3 tablet provides access to a 100% kid-perfect web experience and access to a library of 1,000+ age-appropriate, educator-approved* games, apps, eBooks, videos and more.

The Art Studio is one of Syd’s favourite features on the Leap Pad3 – she has spent a lot of time drawing pictures.I chose to disable the wifi on our LeapPad3, as I didn’t want the kids using the tablet for watching videos – I wanted it to be a learning tool. Once you’ve drawn a picture, you can save it and then access it from your image gallery on the LeapPad3 home screen, and you can easily import them to your computer when you connect your LeapPad3. Designed to be the perfect first tablet experience, I was concerned how L would get on with the LeapPad3. A round button has four directional keys, and once I pointed it out my toddler could switch the tablet on and off by herself with the silver button on the side. Compared to other dedicated kids tech (Leapfrog, VTech or even kid-specific Android tablets) the new Leappad 3 is noticeably faster.
